First, the blood sample is taken in our practice. The blood sample is then processed directly at our practice and takes approx. 7 hours. The processed blood serum is then injected by the radiologist under fluoroscopy or sonographic control at the site of the pain. Normally, up to four injections are carried out over several weeks at our center.
The procedure is suitable for inhibiting inflammation if, for example, cortisone cannot be used.
The costs of Orthokine®-Treatment is not usually covered by health insurance and most supplementary insurances. Please clarify this with your health insurance company in advance if necessary.
